'Mark's Lemonade Stand' to raise funds for transplants

"Mark's Lemonade Stand" will be held for the Children's Organ Transplant Association in honor of Mark Frick, a Tallmadge child who needs had a double lung transplant. The event is planned for July 1 in the parking lot in front of Linda's Kitchen, 141 Northwest Ave., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

First Responders Appreciation Night scheduled for Friday, June 30, in Cuyahoga Falls

Falls Downtown Fridays First Responders Appreciation Night will take place on June 30 from 5-11 p.m. First Responder Appreciation Night is a night to honor the safety services and will include an awards ceremony to recognize area safety forces who have gone above and beyond the call of duty.

Dynamics Community Theater to perform 'The Little Mermaid'

The Community Outreach of Love or COOL ministry blanketed a section of Tallmadge with service on June 3. The efforts on Stadium Drive took physical form in the hands of volunteers from area churches who applied fresh coats of paint, planted flowers or blacktopped driveways.

'Can Do' dog licensing program June 24 at Acme stores

On June 24, Summit County Executive Ilene Shapiro and Summit County Fiscal Officer Kristen Scalise will partner with Acme Fresh Markets to host "Can Do!" -- a one-day event to provide amnesty to Summit County dog owners who have not yet purchased their 2017 dog licenses.
